Teavana opens its first store in PR at Mall of San Juan

Seattle-based Teavana opened yesterday in the new Mall of San Juan shopping center. Teavana specializes in the sale of premium loose leaf tea, tea merchandise, and hot and iced tea brewing equipment. The store offers more than 100 loose-leaf teas and infusions to create and customize an experience that meets every customer’s tastes and needs. The store is located in the center of the Mall of San Juan, adjacent to the information desk.

During the grand opening, customers had the opportunity to try a selection of teas and blends, including two exclusive blends that are reminiscent of favorite and traditional Puerto Rican desserts, Tembleque and Coco-Piña.

Teavana was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 1997. It was purchased by Starbucks Coffee Company in December 2012. Teavana has more than 360 stores in the United States and Canada, Mexico, and the Middle East and 6 Teavana Tea Bars in North America, with an ambitious plan to re-invent the tea experience around the globe.
